Coaching for Leaders

Most organisations say they want leaders who empower their teams.

In reality, many leaders are still stepping in too quickly, solving problems, and carrying more than they need to.

These workshops are designed to shift that. They build practical coaching capability so leaders can develop stronger thinking, ownership and independence in others.

You can engage through a single workshop or build a wider programme, depending on where your leaders are now and what you’re trying to achieve.

All sessions can be delivered to cohorts and tailored to your organisation’s context, language and real scenarios.

All sessions are delivered by qualified coaches and coach supervisors.

Practical Coaching Skills for Leaders

(2-hour workshop)

A hands-on introduction to coaching in a leadership context.

This session focuses on the everyday reality of leadership conversations. It helps leaders step away from “rescuing” and build the confidence to support others to think, problem-solve and take ownership.

Leaders will learn how to:

  • Ask questions that open up thinking rather than close it down

  • Stay with the real issue, not just the first problem presented

  • Listen without jumping in with solutions

  • Build capability and confidence in their teams

Best suited for:

  • New and mid-level managers

  • Leaders who are overly relied on for answers

  • Organisations looking to build a more empowered, self-sufficient culture

This works well as a standalone session or as the starting point for a wider coaching-based approach to leadership.

Coaching for Leaders Programme

(Typically delivered across 4 sessions)

A deeper programme designed to embed coaching into day-to-day leadership.

This is where leaders move beyond understanding coaching to actually applying it consistently in their role. The structure allows space for practice, reflection and real-world application between sessions.

The programme covers:

  • Core coaching skills and how to use them in real situations

  • Managing the instinct to step in and fix

  • Supporting performance, development and problem-solving through coaching

  • Introducing more advanced approaches such as system mapping, clean language and metaphor

Best suited for:

  • Organisations investing in leadership capability at scale

  • Leaders managing people, projects or complex workloads

  • Teams where ownership, accountability or independent thinking need strengthening

This programme helps shift behaviour, not just build awareness.

Advanced Coaching: Clean Language & Metaphor

(90-minute workshop)

A focused session on how language shapes thinking.

Leaders often believe they are coaching, but unintentionally guide or influence the answer. This workshop develops a more precise way of asking questions, helping individuals think more clearly and independently.

Leaders will learn how to:

  • Remove bias from their questions

  • Help individuals explore their thinking more deeply

  • Surface assumptions, beliefs and blockers

  • Work more effectively in one-to-one conversations

Best suited for:

  • Leaders and managers working closely with individuals

  • Coaching conversations, performance and development discussions

  • Situations where people feel stuck, unclear or lacking confidence

This workshop is CPD accredited by the Association for Coaching.

Advanced Coaching: System Mapping

(90-minute workshop)

A practical approach to working with complexity.

This session helps leaders and teams step back and understand the wider system they are operating in, rather than trying to solve issues in isolation.

Leaders will learn how to:

  • Map relationships, influences and pressures within a system

  • Identify patterns driving behaviours or challenges

  • Facilitate more effective team and project conversations

  • Make better decisions by seeing the bigger picture

Best suited for:

  • Leaders working across teams or functions

  • Project-based environments

  • Teams navigating change, complexity or competing priorities
